Our unique location on the Blackdown Hills

Forest Glade Holiday Park is set in a forest clearing which has remained unchanged for at least 100 years. Located on the Blackdown Hills, this area was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1981. We think the location of Forest Glade is pretty special and due to our unique location there is lots to see and do in and around the park!

Forest Setting

Forest Glade is surrounded by 300 acres of Pine Forest and offers the perfect environment to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday or short break.

If you love the great outdoors there is plenty for you to enjoy at Forest Glade including our self-guided nature trail around the park, wildlife spotting opportunities, forest walks and stargazing!

There are many walking trails of varying distances, which are accessible from the park.

The Blackdown Hills provide a beautiful, diverse and tranquil landscape to enjoy. It is rich in wildlife and heritage. The landscape is varying and you can take in steep ridges, plateaus and hill forts, farms and countryside and hidden valleys when exploring the area.

Forest Glade is a great base for an escape to the country and for discovering rural Devon and parts of Somerset.

We are ideally situated to explore the extended Devonshire countryside including East Devon, Exmoor, Dartmoor and local towns and cities such as Exeter, Honiton and Taunton.

The Jurassic Coast World Heritage site is also within easy reach of the park including Exmouth with its two miles of sandy beaches and Lyme Regis with its famous harbour.

North Devon, Barnstaple and Minehead are also easily accessible, as is South Devon and parts of Cornwall.
