Sidmouth Folk Festival is a star attraction of the summer event calendar. Following an online only event last year, a celebratory week of outdoor events returns in 2021.

Sidmouth Folk Festival takes place on 30th July – 6th August 2021 and is sure to be a celebration to remember. Running over the course of a week, this annual event in East Devon is a popular choice for all the family. We recommend a visit during your stay at Forest Glade – the festival is under 20 miles from our devon holiday park. A great opportunity to feel part of the community in a delightful seaside setting.

About Sidmouth Folk Festival

Sidmouth Folk Festival is a week-long celebration of music, dance and song. With a rich history of events dating back to 1955, the festival has really stood the test of time. The 2020 event last year was online only, which has kept the event alive, helping to safeguard its future and ensure the festival can run for many years to come!

Live music and entertainment

The charming seaside town will be treated to a celebratory week of shows and activities this year. To make the festival an outdoor experience, the event will be primarily based in the heart of the town at Blackmore Gardens, the perfect spot to gather with friends safely. Just sit back and enjoy a day of entertainment and evening concerts. Or if you’re wanting to be part of the festivities, why not explore the craft village or take part in a family music workshop.

The Ham lawn is the second location providing an ideal central meeting place. There will be a variety of catering options and drinks available as well entertainment.

Although the event is limited to outdoor spaces, a great variety of top UK folk artists are involved. Highlights of the line-up include Show of Hands, Eliza Carthy Trio and Talisk.

Sidmouth Folk Festival Online

Following the success of Sidmouth Folk Festival’s online event in 2020, this year will also have an online presence. This will run alongside the live festival fun in town.

The online entertainment combines a mixture of events presented from a studio in Sidmouth and zoom workshops hosted further afield. As well as some pre-recorded concert sets produced especially for the festival.

Event safety measures

Event organisers are making sure all relevant precautions and health and safety measures will be taken. This will ensure the comfort of attendees, and to maximise your enjoyment of the festival. We look forward to seeing the festival returning bigger and better than ever in 2022!

A Celebration of Sidmouth Folk Festival runs 30 July – 6 August 2021. See www.sidmouthfolkfestival.co.uk for details of all ticket options.
