Why we Love Static Caravans and You Should Too!

Sep 6, 2018

When you picture a caravan holiday in Devon, do you envision a cramped holiday home, with worn beige upholstery and a faint smell of damp?

Well all that is a very distant memory today, because, whilst they might not have had a reputation for being fashionable in the past, holiday caravans have quietly been getting trendy over recent years. With pressures on family budgets, they offer an economical alternative to staying in a hotel or holiday apartment but without cutting down on luxury.

Tasteful furnishings and all mod-cons make a modern caravan a real home away from home; perfect for those who like a bit more elegance on holiday. With some of our units sleeping up to eight people, they have a real sense of space and, with plenty of comfortable seating, nobody feels as if they're getting on top of one another. After a day in the countryside or at the beach, you can relax and put your feet up.

Everything you might need is there for you so that you can concentrate on the business of having a fabulous holiday. Your own private shower room and toilet mean you don't need to make that trek in the night to use the park facilities. There's also parking right next to the caravan for up to two cars. With fully-equipped kitchens in every caravan, you can whip up all your favourite dishes and the outside seating area is perfect for leisurely evening meals al fresco.

No longer cold and draughty, some of the modern static caravans at Forest Glade have energy-efficient white PVCu double-glazed windows and doors and they all have heating to keep you cosy, making them a perfect choice for holidaying in autumn or spring.

Of course, we have always been proud of our static caravans here at Forest Glade, but we absolutely love the new-style models. If you didn't think a caravan holiday was for you, put aside your preconceptions and give one a try. Prepare to be converted!
